In June Smile partner CERTH has attended to 31st International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems in Guimaraes. ECOS was focused on the fundamentals of thermodynamics, economics and environment analysis of all forms of energy conversion. Spyridon Chapaloglou, Athanasios Nesiadis, Konstantinos Atsonios, Nikos Nikolopoulos, Panagiotis Grammeli have presented their latest study “Modelling and simulation of a predictive BESS controller based on load forecasting in a South European island power system”. CERTH had the opportunity to disseminate their technical knowledge. The event was also a great chance to interact and create a network with colleagues throughout the world.
